SAN FRANCISCO — Everyone’s been there; even the fiercest monsters of all time are not immune to one of the most formidable opponents of all time: the Lego.

After all the machine guns, bigger beasts, and a gym suspension to where he can’t go back for three months, who knew a simple Lego store would send the beast whimpering back across the Pacific Ocean?

Janice Tong basically saw the whole situation and couldn’t believe it at first.

“I was shocked to see Godzilla. These things are supposed to be fake, but I could swear this was the real thing,” said Tong, a human resources employee at Hedgehog Technolgoy. “I can’t believe a creature as tough as Godzilla can’t snap over a few boxes of Lego. That thing is covered in armor for head to toe.”

Others also saw the whole scenario, but disagreed with Tong’s conclusion.

“I’ve stepped on a single Lego piece. One of those rectangular one with the eight dots on top,” said Carlos Hernandez Dominguez, an account with his own practice. “I thought I was going to die. It was about 100x more painful than stubbing my pinkie toe on the coffee table. I know what Godzilla went through, and we as humans need to practice more empathy; at least for monsters that can wipe us off the face of the planet.”

After some thinking, the team (me) thought the best “Welcome” mat at the front door might be a sheet of Lego bricks. Same with bear traps. Maybe a big pile of Lego bricks might just do the trick.
